| Abstract | This paper seeks to assess urban environmental quality integrating variables obtained from remote sensing images of high spatial resolution and census data to compose an index of socio-environmental condition of the city. The principal components analysis was used to integrate the variables obtained from different sources. The results showed the variation of socio-environmental conditions in the city based on three components: crowdedness, socio-economic condition and environmental condition. © 2013 IEEE. |
